Neymar Scores First Goal Since Santos Return, Showing Signs of Recovery After Injury Setback
Now back in Brazil, Neymar has signed a six-month contract with Santos, with the possibility of an extension as he looks to regain his full fitness and rediscover his best form.

Neymar Jr. netted his first goal since returning to Santos, providing a sense of relief after a challenging restart to his career. In the 14th minute of a São Paulo state championship match, the 33-year-old calmly converted a penalty, marking a positive moment in his comeback.
Thaciano added a second for Santos in the 26th minute, and Neymar played a part in the third, assisting Guilherme for a goal in the 70th minute, completing a 3-0 win for the team.
Despite the goal, Neymar’s journey back to top form has been far from smooth. He’s yet to play a full 90 minutes since rejoining Santos, and his performances in the first three games fell below expectations. However, Sunday's showing was an improvement, signaling progress as he continues recovering from a knee injury.
Neymar officially returned to football in October after a year-long absence, having been sidelined with various setbacks. Last month, he confirmed that his contract with Saudi club Al-Hilal had been mutually terminated, after an injury-plagued stint where he played only seven matches and scored once.
