This move marks George’s first coaching position at the FBS level, following an impressive four-year stint at Tennessee State, where he led the team to a 9-4 record and a conference co-championship.

George, widely recognized for his outstanding career as a running back at Ohio State and later with the Tennessee Titans, has built a multifaceted career beyond football. He has dabbled in Broadway acting, worked as an adjunct professor, and even earned an MBA. Now, he returns to his coaching roots in Ohio, aiming to bring his leadership and football expertise to Bowling Green’s program.

With Eddie George at the helm, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how his presence will shape the Falcons. His wealth of experience—both on and off the field—could be the key to revitalizing the program and making Bowling Green a serious contender in the MAC conference.

Eddie George’s football legacy extends far beyond his coaching career. After an illustrious run with the Tennessee Titans, George spent the 2004 season with the Dallas Cowboys before officially retiring in 2006. Over the course of his career, he racked up an impressive 10,441 rushing yards, 268 receptions for 2,227 yards, and a total of 78 touchdowns. His contributions to the game earned him a well-deserved spot in the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Off the field, George shares his life with his wife, Tamara "Taj" George, a member of the iconic R&B group Sisters with Voices (SWV). The couple has two sons and has built a strong family foundation while balancing careers in sports, entertainment, and beyond.
