Although this feat happened on the DP World Tour rather than the PGA Tour, ball speed remains unaffected by the level of competition. This means that if Nienaber were to compete on the PGA Tour, he would likely maintain his blistering pace off the tee.
To put his achievement into perspective, the average ball speed for a driver sits around 171 mph, making Nienaber’s power game even more impressive. At just 24 years old, he has already secured two Sunshine Tour victories, with his latest coming at the NTT Data Pro-Am in February 2025.
