Manchester United Sign Full-Back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce for €30 Million
Manchester United have completed the signing of Patrick Dorgu, a full-back from Serie A club Lecce, for a reported fee of €30 million ($31.1 million), with an additional €5 million in potential performance-related bonuses.

The 20-year-old Denmark international has signed a contract with United until 2030, with the option for an additional year.
Dorgu becomes Ruben Amorim's second signing since taking over as manager, addressing a key need in the squad, particularly on the left side of defense. United had also considered bringing back Álvaro Fernández from Benfica, but Dorgu emerged as their top target after impressing in Italy over recent seasons.
After joining Lecce from FC Nordsjælland as a teenager, Dorgu made his debut during the 2023-24 season, quickly becoming a regular in the starting lineup. He made 32 appearances last season and has continued to impress this season, contributing three goals and one assist.
