Mitch Marner reached a major career milestone in the Toronto Maple Leafs' 3-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, becoming the fastest player in franchise history to hit 500 career assists.

He achieved the feat in just 629 games, a testament to his playmaking ability.Reflecting on the achievement, Marner was quick to credit his teammates, acknowledging their crucial role in his success.
With his assist in the game, Marner’s season total climbed to 71 points, including 16 goals and 55 assists. The Leafs improved to 33-19-2, earning 68 points and staying close behind the Florida Panthers in the Atlantic Division standings.
Leafs Take Third Straight Victory Over Kraken
The Leafs extended their winning streak to three games, earning a 3-1 win over the Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. Philippe Myers opened the scoring early in the first period, giving Toronto a 1-0 lead at 7:23. Just before the period ended, Bobby McMann doubled the lead, scoring on the power play to make it 2-0.
In the second period, Matthew Knies extended the lead to 3-0, and despite a late goal from Eeli Tolvanen for Seattle, the Kraken couldn't mount a comeback, leaving the Leafs with a 3-1 win.
Max Domi, Knies, and Auston Matthews all recorded three-point performances, while goaltender Anthony Stolarz was solid between the pipes, stopping 28 shots for a .966 save percentage.
The Leafs will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to Rogers Arena to face the Vancouver Canucks at 7:00 p.m. ET.
