The spectacular gathering at London’s O2 Arena saw all 10 teams and 20 drivers come together to unveil their cars for the upcoming season. One of the most highly anticipated moments of the night was Lewis Hamilton’s first public appearance in Ferrari red.

Walking onto the stage in his new Scuderia Ferrari suit, Hamilton was greeted with thunderous applause from the London crowd. It was a surreal moment for fans and the seven-time world champion alike, as he soaked in the energy of the historic occasion.

The very next day, Hamilton flew to Italy to take part in Ferrari’s filming day at the Fiorano circuit, getting behind the wheel of the SF-25 Challenger for the first time. Both he and Charles Leclerc took turns putting the car through its paces, much to the delight of the passionate Tifosi who gathered in large numbers to witness the event. Hamilton acknowledged the roaring crowd with waves and smiles, clearly moved by the warm reception from Ferrari’s loyal supporters.

Ferrari has gone for a fresh look this season, opting for a darker shade of red in their livery. A noticeable white patch appears on the rear and front wing, while exposed carbon fiber elements add a sleek touch. Despite the tweaks, the iconic Ferrari essence remains intact.

Before getting his hands on the SF-25, Hamilton had already completed a 1,000 km test with Ferrari’s 2024 model, the SF-24, earlier in February. However, reports emerged that he crashed the car on the second day of testing in Barcelona. While Hamilton didn’t directly address the incident, he did speak about pushing the car’s limits during the session.

“I’ve enjoyed the testing that we’ve had. I’ve had to find the limits of the car as quickly as possible because I only have a handful of days—and I definitely did that! It’s just been fun,” he shared during the F1 75th anniversary event (via Planet F1).

Though the crash caused significant damage to the SF-24, Hamilton was unharmed and focused on preparing for the season ahead. With just weeks to go until the first race, all eyes will be on the Ferrari duo as they gear up to take on the 2025 F1 grid.
