Cowboys Favored to Sign JK Dobbins, According to Oddsmakers
The Dallas Cowboys could be in the market for a new running back, and according to oddsmakers, JK Dobbins is a strong candidate to land in Dallas.

The Dallas Cowboys are emerging as the betting favorites to sign free-agent running back JK Dobbins this offseason, with odds set at +250 (5-2), according to reports.
While the Cowboys lead the race, other teams in contention include the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Minnesota Vikings, all of whom have favorable odds to land the former Ravens and Chargers running back.
Dallas could potentially sign Dobbins at a bargain, considering his cap hit last season was just $1.13 million. However, his strong comeback season in 2024 might allow him to command a higher salary.
Spotrac estimates his market value at just over $4 million, which is well within the Cowboys’ budget, especially after their recent roster restructuring.

The Cowboys are also navigating the future of Rico Dowdle, their 2024 starting running back, who is a free agent this year. Interestingly, his projected market value is currently higher than Dobbins’, making the latter a more cost-effective option for Dallas.
Despite his upside, Dobbins’ injury history remains a concern. The 2020 second-round pick out of Ohio State missed the entire 2021 season due to a torn ACL and has struggled with knee and Achilles injuries, causing him to miss 28 games over the past three seasons. However, if he stays healthy, he could be a valuable addition to a Cowboys team looking to revamp its backfield.
