Their growing connection was on full display recently when they took over in the fourth quarter of Team Vinyl’s win over Team Mist, scoring every single point in the final period. Burrell sealed the victory with the game-winning shot—set up perfectly by an assist from Hamby.

Burrell couldn’t be more excited to share the court with Hamby again. “I was so happy when I found out we’d be playing together,” she told the Associated Press. “Dearica is a great vet, always making sure I’m good.”

Unrivaled has provided the duo with another opportunity to train and compete together during the offseason, something they’ve done before. Both players spend time in Las Vegas, where they live just minutes apart. Their close bond extends beyond basketball, as Burrell often spends time with Hamby’s children, Legend and Amaya.

“We get to work out together, and I also get to hang out with Legend and Amaya,” Burrell said. “Building that relationship off the court really helped when we played together in LA. We basically spend every day together in the offseason.”

With their connection continuing to grow, Sparks fans have plenty to look forward to when the duo reunites for the WNBA season.
